Let the events begin!!!

It was Monday evening 31th of October, the players are ready to have the NBA Basketball Tournament organised by one of the group. My team had practiced once just a few days before the tournament. We need to at least practice once since everyone in the group do not have the basic to play basketball. My team even bought a jersey for the tournament and put our numbers at the back of the jersey and mine is always number 7.

The event start with praying led by Najib and continued with warm up session with zumba dancing led by Najib and Syamsul. It took around 15 minutes to finish the zumba and it was great where Najib and Syamsul give the instruction clearly and everybody manage to zumba well.

Then, the after a short briefing by the organiser regarding the rules of the game, the first match started between Najib's team and Safwan' team. It was me the one who being the referee for the first game and it was a great experience for me where I learned new things. The first game was won by Najib's team and followed with my team triumph against Iqbal's team.

Then the event continued with the 3rd and 4th placing match. The game ended with Safwan's won over Iqbal's team and the game ran smoothly. Finally, the final game between Najib's team and my team was on. The game was very tight but Najib's team lead 10-2 in the first half. During the half-time, I encourage my teammates to keep fighting, focus on the game and don't give up easily since they look like respect the opponents to much. Then the second half start and we fought hard and the score was tied at 12-12. It was the final play before the game end and we were attacking. Unfortunately, we did not manage to score and the ball was stolen by opponent and they scored. It was quite devastated when the final whistle was blown right after they scored. But that is the custom of the game, sometimes you have to accept your loss.

The event was closed with the price giving ceremony. Every team receive their prize as the main purpose of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle, sportsmanship and work as a team. It was a great event managed by the organizer. Everyone seem enjoy the evening and lastly we had our dinner together. Congratulation to the winner and thank you to the organizer. :)

NDP Projects

We were tasked to organised activities in order to complete the NDP final project. So, all the 20 students we divided into 4 groups that consist of 5 person per group and every group need to face 3 stages in order to complete the project.

The first stage is the planning stage. At this stage, the groups need to discuss and plan what kind of project or event that they are going to organise. Then they need to find out what are the possible the actions need to be taken and the possible consequences of the activities. After that, they need to present their planning to the class. After the discussion, the groups had decided to 4 types of activities which were basketball tournament, going to EnerZ themepark, zoo volunteering and charity by delivering groceries to the needy.
Next every group need to prepare a paperwork for the event that they are going to organised and present it to Pn. Aiza and the management of Taylor College.

To tell the truth, I think it was a good idea from the NDP class to do this kind of project because it would develop skills that cannot be develop theoretically. This skills are such as work as a team, building responsibility, tackling problems and think or act critically since each of the events are different and might have different problems. Besides, I am looking forward for it since I like to organise events to be frank. Let see how it going to work. Hopefully every group could complete their tasks smoothly. :)

I'm enjoying myself here...

It had been 5 weeks since I registered in Taylor. Everything seem good now as I think I already adapt with the surrounding in SS15.

Soo, I think i have started to love taxation, hahaha... It may sound ridiculous but that is the fact. Why, because I think it is really important to have the knowledge about taxation since everyone in the country are paying the taxes but they do not know what it is for and how the government utilise the taxes..

And one fact that surprised is that it is only about 13% of Malaysian that paying taxes... WOW!!!!! 13%!!! Are you among those 13%???

I don't think I have any low-light so far here as I am enjoying my life here in Subang with my friends.
There are few highlights that I enjoyed here and one of it is playing badminton. Well, I haven't played any official badminton before and this week was my first time and it was really great... :)

Besides, the boys had found a place to play snooker & pool.. So, there is another thing to do if we are boring but the price is quite expensive which cost RM17 per hour..

Last weekend I joined the MPKJ 10KM run in Bangi as my preparation for 42KM Marathon next month in Putrajaya. It had been a while since I last joined any running events. It was great as I think I had improved my fitness and performance compared to my last achievement. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to accomplished my target to finished the 10KM run within 1 hour.. My time was 1 hour and 4 minutes.. Just 4 minutes late.. :(

Heyyy, Guess what? I met Iqbal at the running event.. haha

Pray that I can reach my top form within this 1 month to complete the 42KM Full Marathon on this 12.11.2016 at Putrajaya.. My first full marathon and it is one of my life goals.. :)

It Is Time To Change

Without realizing it, the time flew so fast and it is already the second week of the class. The lesson also so fast that I almost could not catch up with Mr. Ravi pace at class. I have to admit it is totally different from my degree style of learning. I guess I could relax and delay my work a little bit during my degree but now, you have to learn by yourself instead of relying on others. So after a while, I figured out, IT IS TIME TO CHANGE!!!

Here are the changes that I need to do to adapt and organise myself with the new surrounding :
a) Make a list of things to do (responsibility)
b) Evaluate the responsibilities and make the arrange it based on priority
c) Plan the action to be taken in order to accomplished the tasks
d) Ask order opinions and help if I need their help
e) Take actions
f) Evaluate your actions and the result, re plan and take new actions if needed
g) Committed to your responsibilities

I've learned that doing this is very important and I have to plan everything I want to do because, as the quote said, "Failing to plan is planning to fail".

All student was required to make a video of presentation regarding their own SWOT analysis and thanks to it, I got to know more about myself actually. I think it was my highlight of the week as I can evaluate myself and plan how to use my strengths to improve myself, how to repair my weaknesses, how to used the opportunities wisely and how to avoid the threats to improve myself as a person. Besides, I also could know more about my classmates and share things to help each others.

I am looking forward for coming days to be here and learn more about everything here. I hope to find a few good places here to enjoy myself while studying. Actually Subang is quite packed with people and buildings so I am quite not enjoying it to tell the truth but I'll try to adapt with it. I will try to make a change here I guess, who knows right? Maybe I might set activities to spend quality time with my classmates in the future such as hiking or camping. I believe and I'll try to make this period of my life as a period to be remembered..

A New Journey

Yeah, the time has come.. It’s 19th September and it is time for me to get very serious to start a new chapter in my life.. It is a period in my life that will be full of learning, struggling, sacrificing and understanding people around me. It is time to push for my professional accounting certificate which is the lovely MICPA..

I would like to thank my family, friends, teachers and those who supported me before I’m here. A special thank you also to my scholar which is Yayasan Peneraju who believe in me to continue the journey to be a professional accountant.

So, this is me who finally going to live in Subang Jaya, to be more specific, Taylor College…

The first week of class is almost done.. What really make me happy about going to class is instead just having the Tax Class for the first paper, the program also offer a self-development program called Nurture Development Program (NDP) conducted by two Taylor College’s coordinators which are Pn. Aiza and Mrs. Delicia. This is a class where it’s going to help you develop yourself as a person in every aspects. While for the tax subject, it was conducted by Mr. Ravi and I think I had to struggle more than the others in class because I had left the tax subject for quite a long time back in 2013.. However it is good to know that your classmates are willing to help you.

There are fell things I’ve learned this week but I think I’m going to focus on the NDP class. Those are the few things that I can remember as now:
      a)      Don’t judge people easily – you have to get along with others to know them and it is okay if you have different principle, attitude or background. Learn to respect them.
      b)      MERPSV Check-in = Check your Mental, Emotion, Rational, Physical, Spiritual, Vocationally often
      c)       Johari Window = About your talents which consist of Open, Blind, Hidden and Unknown
      d)      The Bubble = Giving the time for yourself to reflect back at your life goal
      e)      Lifeline = Looking back at what you have face all your life

To tell the truth, the NDP was my highlight of the week because I discovered new things to be applied in my life & meeting new people in the class.

One thing that bother me this week is to adapt with the location and surrounding of the campus since it is quite far to find food since I did not bring my motorcycle yet and it is hard for me to do some exercise since the is no field and not so many sports being played here. The only thing I did was go for a jog at the recreational park.

One of the achievements I had so far here is I think I had manage to improve myself a little bit as a person in accepting others opinion and attitude. We cannot expect everyone are the same as us and god make different people with different attitude, nature, interest, strength and weakness, that is why we need one other in this world because we live to complement each other…
